IN MEMORIAM
Victoria "Viki" Lynne Vaughn
June 3rd, 1972 - October 21st, 2022

Viki, our fondly remembered Co-Founder of the Mid-Michigan Pagan Alliance was a Flint Native and lived her brief 50 year life right in the Mid-Michigan area. As an extremely active member of the pagan community, Viki began formal practice and study early on through the Black Forest Coven of the Raven. Upon her passing she had honorably served for many years as High Priestess to the Coven of the Phoenix Fire.

In addition to being a witch and priestess, Viki was a lover of both history and science. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Archaeology at the University of Michigan and was a renowned herbalist. She later established Wildcrafter’s Den which she developed into a thriving business specializing in herbal remedies, blends, and custom teas. The success of her business helped pave the way for the creation of both Witches Tea-Flint and Witches Tea-Saginaw.

It can’t go without saying that Viki was an incredible teacher as well as an eternal student. She has both taken and presented a multitude of classes and workshops at Michigan’s largest pagan events and gatherings. She has been featured at Convocation, WitchCon, Detroit Conjure and Folk Magick Festival, as well as Detroit Pagan Pride and a multitude of various psychic fairs and holistic festivals. Her lessons culminated in the birth of Phoenix Fire Academy, an online school of witchcraft.

A “Rennie” at heart, our Lady Victoria worked at the Michigan Renaissance Festival for many years. Her wares and knowledge of her craft made her a valuable addition to the Faire and a friend to many. She had a flair for the dramatic and filled each role with ease.

She was a webweaver to which few could compare, with a deep compassion for nature and all of it’s living creatures. She helped connect people with an almost artistic flair. She was empathetic, socially conscious, and a life-long environmentalist. She supported countless causes through her volunteer work and her activism. She was a proud vegan for most of her adult life and a believer in both human and animal rights. She gave of herself in both fundraising and protesting to help further the causes she cared for deeply.

Viki Vaughn…priestess, witch, warrior, daughter, sister, mother, lover, seer, healer, herbalist, child of Hecate, and beloved friend.
Forever remembered and honored by the Mid-Michigan Pagan Alliance and those who loved her.
Hail the Traveler!
